WELCOME TO FRESH
A fresh perspective begins with a question.
Welcome to the FRESH Experience. Imagine a skincare story that begins not with a beauty campaign, but with a parent reading a toothpaste label. An idea born in Austria grew into a different way of thinking about everyday products. Over the next twelve chapters, you will discover the questions behind that idea, explore what freshness really means and decide what matters to you. No need to know anything about skincare. Just bring your curiosity.
That question did not stay a question. It became a company — and a philosophy.
Not quite. Think of this as a choose-your-own-discovery: tap the questions, challenge the ideas and keep what feels relevant to you.
Not at all. We begin with a story, not a product catalogue. You'll have plenty of time to explore products later.

IT STARTED WITH TOOTHPASTE
One little tube. A very big question.
Austria, 1996. A tube of toothpaste brought home from kindergarten sparked an unexpected conversation. Andreas Wilfinger and Ulla Wannemacher started looking more closely at the ingredients in everyday products. What if the familiar way of making cosmetics was not the only way?
That question became RINGANA. Instead of beginning with a beauty trend, the founders began with curiosity and the courage to question established habits. They built a company around fresh cosmetics, thoughtful product development and a different relationship with shelf life.
The child who brought home that toothpaste? Their son Michael Wannemacher, who later became part of RINGANA’s leadership. It is a wonderfully ordinary beginning for an idea that would eventually travel far beyond Austria.
Yes. Michael Wannemacher grew up with the idea that sparked RINGANA and later became part of the company's leadership. A family question became a long-term mission.
Because it changed the starting point: instead of asking only how to sell a product, the founders began by questioning what should go into it — and why.
A family story that became a fresh idea.

WHAT TOUCHES YOUR SKIN?
Read the labels. Not just on your food.
You read food labels. But when was the last time you checked the back of your skincare products? We have become more curious about what we eat — yet the cleanser, serum and cream we use every day often escape the same attention.
Your skin is your body’s largest organ. It is an impressive protective barrier, but not an impenetrable wall. Some ingredients can enter the outer layers of skin, and certain substances may be absorbed further. How much depends on the ingredient, its concentration, the formulation and how it is used.
This is not about fear. It is about awareness. An unfamiliar name on an ingredient list is not automatically harmful, and something described as natural is not automatically safer. Ingredients have different jobs: cleansing, moisturising, protecting, preserving or keeping a formula stable.
Get to know what you put on your skin. Ask what an ingredient does, look for clear explanations and choose products that suit your needs. Read the labels. Not just on your food.
Some substances can penetrate skin, but not everything applied reaches the bloodstream. Absorption varies with the substance, formulation and condition of the skin. The point is to understand ingredients, not to be frightened of them.
Not by itself. Both plant-derived and synthetic ingredients can be useful or irritating depending on the formula. Look at the purpose of an ingredient and the product as a whole.

VEGAN BY CHOICE
A choice you can understand — and feel good about.
A beautiful flower can be a reminder that the choices behind a product matter as much as its appearance. Some conventional cosmetics contain animal-derived ingredients, including beeswax, lanolin or certain forms of collagen. You would not necessarily know that from the front of the bottle.
RINGANA chooses vegan formulations and a cruelty-free approach. For people who care about animals, that is a meaningful part of their everyday purchasing decisions — not simply a fashionable label.
Vegan does not mean a product is chemical-free, allergy-proof or automatically suitable for every skin type. It describes a choice about ingredient origins. Understanding that choice is what makes it valuable.
Yes. Ingredients such as beeswax, lanolin or certain forms of collagen can come from animals. A vegan formulation avoids animal-derived ingredients.
No. Every formula needs appropriate safety assessment, and anyone can react to particular ingredients. Vegan is an ethical and formulation choice, not a medical guarantee.

FRESHNESS CHANGES THE RULES.
What changes when freshness becomes the starting point?
What if a skincare brand designed its entire process around freshness?
Imagine developing skincare with a different starting question: not “How long can this sit on a shelf?” but “How can we make freshness part of the product from the beginning?” That decision changes much more than the date printed on a package.
Conventional products are often designed to tolerate long periods in warehouses and on shop shelves. RINGANA’s approach puts a different emphasis on freshness. That choice affects how products are developed, how they are distributed and how long they are intended to be kept.
Fresh does not mean a product has no shelf life. Every product has its own storage, expiry and use-after-opening guidance. The difference is that freshness is part of the design brief — not an afterthought.
Think of freshly squeezed orange juice and juice made for longer storage. Both have a purpose, but the way they are prepared and distributed differs. It is an analogy for a freshness-led business model — not a claim that one skincare formula is automatically safer or more effective.
The interesting part is what happens behind the scenes: product development, production planning and delivery all have to work together. Freshness becomes a practical commitment, not just a word on the packaging.
Because freshness is a design decision. It means planning production, distribution and use around a shorter product life instead of prioritising years on a shop shelf. Always follow the actual expiry and storage instructions.
No. Freshness is the distinguishing philosophy, not proof of superior effectiveness. Performance and safety depend on the complete formula, testing and how you use the product.

THREE WORDS. ONE MINDSET.
FRESH · EXCELLENT · TRENDSETTING
Three words are easy to print on a website. Living by them is the interesting part. RINGANA describes its philosophy through FRESH, EXCELLENT and TRENDSETTING — three different ways of asking whether the usual approach is really the best one.
FRESH shapes how products are made and reach customers. EXCELLENT is about the care and discipline behind the finished product. TRENDSETTING is the willingness to question habits and try a different route rather than simply following the market.
Tap each word on the right. Behind every value is a choice, and behind every choice is a story.
Fair question. That's why the interesting part is the decisions behind the words: formulation, shelf life, quality processes, packaging and how the product reaches you.
There is no right answer. Perhaps you care most about freshness, perhaps careful product development, perhaps the courage to rethink everyday habits. Explore all three.

YOUR DAILY RITUAL
A moment for yourself. Not another chore.
Picture a quiet bathroom, a warm towel and a few minutes that belong to you. Not an elaborate ten-step routine. Not another thing on your to-do list. Just a moment to notice how your skin feels.
Some mornings you might want extra hydration. On other days, simple cleansing, moisturising and appropriate sun protection may be all you need. Your routine should work with your life — not demand that you rearrange your life around it.
There is no prize for owning the most bottles. A few products chosen for your skin and used consistently can be far more satisfying than a crowded shelf. Make it a ritual you actually look forward to.
Absolutely not. Begin with the basics that suit your skin. More products are not automatically better, and consistency often matters more than complexity.
That's where a personal conversation can help. Make a note of what your skin feels like, what you already use and what you would like to change. We'll come back to that at the end.
Your ritual. Your moment.

A FRESH IDEA TRAVELS THE WORLD
A question asked in one place can resonate in many others.
A little question asked in Austria in 1996 did not stay in Austria. Over time, the idea grew into an international company, connecting people who live in very different places and lead very different lives.
A skincare ritual in Vienna may look nothing like one in Mexico City, Miami or Rome. The weather changes. The languages change. The routines change. Yet the curiosity behind the FRESH philosophy can cross all those borders.
RINGANA’s international presence means people in different markets can discover its approach. The selection of products, names, labels and ordering arrangements may differ by country, so the local official shop is the right place to check what is available.
One idea can travel a very long way — without losing the question that started it all.
From its beginnings in Austria, RINGANA has expanded into international markets, including Mexico and the United States. Its country selector shows where and how customers can currently order.
No. Product availability, names, packaging information and ordering arrangements can vary by market. That is different from the company’s commitment to consistent formulations for corresponding products.

PACKAGING WITH PURPOSE
The story continues after unboxing.
What happens after you open the parcel? Packaging is easy to overlook, but it has a real job: protecting the product, surviving the journey and making everyday use practical.
RINGANA uses details such as corn-based packing pops and cotton cloths around selected glass flacons. The cloth can be reused, and the packing material invites a closer look at how to dispose of it responsibly according to local guidance.
There is also a return programme for qualifying empty glass flacons. In participating markets, returning ten eligible flacons can earn an eligible face or body care product, subject to the current programme rules.
No packaging choice makes an entire product impact-free. But looking at what happens before, during and after use is a worthwhile part of choosing more consciously.
RINGANA uses corn-based packing material. Follow the current packaging guidance and your local composting or soil requirements before using it as a soil amendment. Never assume all packing peanuts are compostable.
RINGANA has operated a programme for returning ten qualifying empty glass flacons in exchange for an eligible face or body care product. Conditions and availability may differ by market — ask your local partner for the current details, including eligible items and rewards.

BEHIND THE FRESH
ONE WORLD. ONE FORMULA.
A beautiful bottle can catch your eye. The real work begins long before the bottle is filled. Ingredients have to be selected, formulas developed, stability evaluated and quality checked. Nature may inspire an idea; research and testing help turn that idea into a product people can use with confidence.
And here is another part of RINGANA’s international approach: one world, one formula. RINGANA uses the same formulation for corresponding products across its markets, including the United States. The product range and local information may differ, but the formulation is not reinvented for each country.
That matters because it makes the company’s commitment to its product philosophy consistent across borders. A customer discovering the same RINGANA product in Austria, Mexico or the USA is not being introduced to a separately reformulated version just because of their location.
The details behind the bottle still matter: clear product information, appropriate testing, correct storage and honest explanations of what a formula is intended to do. Quality is not just a promise on the front of a package. It is the work behind it.
Yes. RINGANA’s approach is to use the same formulation for corresponding products worldwide, including in the United States. What may differ is which products are offered and how they are labelled locally.
Formulation development, ingredient evaluation, stability work and quality checks all contribute. Always follow the storage, expiry and usage information on the product you receive.
